PDFThings started with a simple frustration: every free online PDF tool seemed to come with a catch — a forced signup, a watermark stamped across your file, a "free trial" that wasn't really free, or documents sitting on some server long after you'd forgotten about them.

We built PDFThings to be the opposite of that: a genuinely free, no-signup PDF editor you can trust with real documents.

What we do

PDFThings is a browser-based suite of PDF tools for everyday tasks: merge PDF files into one, split PDF pages into separate documents, compress PDF size without losing quality, organize and reorder pages, convert images to PDF (JPG/PNG) and back again, add watermarks, stamp page numbers, and password-protect or unlock PDFs. Nine tools, one click each, no software to install and no account required.

Why we built it this way

No account needed. You shouldn't have to create a login just to combine two PDFs. Every online PDF tool on PDFThings works instantly, right in your browser, on any device.

Privacy by design. Files are protected with 256-bit encryption in transit and processed securely. We don't scan your documents for data, and we never share your files with anyone — this is a genuinely private PDF converter, not just a marketing line.

Nothing lingers. Every file you upload, and every file we generate, is automatically deleted within 12 hours. Your documents pass through, get the job done, and disappear — no long-term storage, no data hoarding.

Fast by default. Most jobs — merging, compressing, converting — finish in under a second, because a quick PDF task shouldn't turn into a 10-minute wait.
