Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using itspdfthings.com (the "Service"), operated by PDFThings ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PDFThings, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PDFThings provides free, browser-based tools to merge, split, compress, organize, convert, watermark, and protect/unlock PDF and image files. Some features may be offered as part of a paid premium plan with expanded limits.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload files containing illegal content, malware, or material that infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems

  • Use automated scripts or bots to abuse the Service beyond normal usage

  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms.

5. Your Content and Files

You retain full ownership of any files you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your files solely for the purpose of performing the requested action (e.g., merging, compressing). This license ends automatically once your files are deleted, per our file retention policy.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any files you submit.

6. File Deletion

All uploaded and generated files are automatically deleted from our servers within 12 hours. We are not responsible for retaining copies of your files beyond this period — please retain your own backups.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFThings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount (if any) you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

9. Premium Plans and Payments

If you subscribe to a premium plan, additional terms regarding billing, cancellation, and refunds may apply and will be presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions may auto-renew unless canceled prior to the renewal date.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, design, and code on PDFThings (excluding user-uploaded files) are the property of PDFThings and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users or the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law
